How to help

Getting yourself involved with Coalition For Courage can be a fulfilling experience for you and for the children we support. There are many charitable foundations out there; ours is small, grassroots, and it gives you the ability to directly interact with the recipients of your efforts. Our small program allows for endless possibilities for creating your own experience.

You can contribute to Coalition For Courage in any one of the following ways:

Contribute to our Donation Fund

You can help us and the children we support by donating to our discretionary funds so we can cover all our programs.

At Coalition for Courage, we believe in making it easy for anyone to make a positive impact. How would you like to help a child instead of getting another sweater this season? Let your friends and family know that you would prefer they donate to Coalition for Courage in your name the next time a gift-giving occasion comes around. We are happy to send a nice card or picture telling them about the donation.

Support the C4C wire crafting project

The wire toy group started several years ago when a local artisan came to Tsungirirai and taught a group of children how to make 6-inch bicycles with a pair of pliers and wire. The children who showed the most interest and potential formed a group and continued to make bicycles. Four of the original six children have successfully formed a small income generating business, and a couple others have branched out on their own. We have invited the professional artist back and asked him to teach the children to make other vehicles and now the more seasoned wire artists can make bikes ($10), helicopters ($10), cars ($15), and even motorcycles ($20). A couple of them have taught themselves to make small geckos, flipflops and other creative keychains ($5).

You can contribute to this awesome project by buying or helping us sell crafts. If you'd like to get involved, please contact us for more information.

Join the C4C Child Sponsorship program

Sponsoring a child can be a fulfilling experience for an individual and a child. There are many sponsorship programs out there; ours is small, grassroots, and our sponsors know they are making a difference in the life of one of our orphans

We are looking for sponsors who want to be connected with an individual child. Our small program allows for endless possibilities for creating your own experience. Let us know what kind of child/situation you are interested in. We would love to make a perfect match

Learn about our volunteer opportunities

Volunteer with us. We offer several volunteer opportunities that you can partake in. In the past, we have had volunteers travel with us to Zimbabwe, offering them a chance to directly interact and help our childres. On her volunteer trip in 2010, Bridget McBride (pictured on the left) helped a group of teenage girls make reusable cloth pads. Because most people simply cannot afford to buy disposable feminine hygiene products, the girls and all the women in the community were quick to point out the economic and hygienic advantage of a reusable, washable product.

If you're interested in being part of these life changing projects, please don't hesitate to contact us for more information.
